Hot piping pakoras on a rainy day is a great combination with masala chai.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Finely chopped onions- 1 cup
  2. Grated carrot- 1/4 cup
  3. Roughly chopped french beans- 1/4 cup
  4. Finely chopped mint and curry leaves, a handful
  5. 1 tsp green chilli paste
  6. 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  7. Besan/ Chickpea flour 1 cup
  8. Rice flour 4 tsp
  9. Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
  10. Hing/Asafoetida- 1/4 tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Oil to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Slit the french beans and remove the seed to prevent it splutter during frying. Combine all the ingredients together.
  2. Meanwhile heat the oil.
  3. Once it is medium hot, drop the pakora batter in any desired shapes. Deep fry them till they turn golden brown. Serve with chai.
