Kahwa is a very popular drink in kashmir.Today i have given a twist to this recipe.Hope you all will like my this recipe of kahwa.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Water-2cups
  2. Green Cardamom-4
  3. Cinnamon Stick-1inch piece
  4. Basil leaves-4
  5. Dried rose petals-1/2tsp
  6. Saffron strands-2
  7. Sugar-1/2tsp
  8. Kashmiri kahwa tea leaves-1tsp
  9. Lemon juice-1/2tsp
  10. Chopped almonds-4
  11. Chopped pista-4
  12. Chopped walnuts-1

Instructions

  1. Take 2 cups of water in a pan and add green cardamom,cinnamon stick,basil leaves,dried rose petals and sugar.
  2. Keep the pan on high flame.When it comes to a boil simmer the gas.Let it boil for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Turn off the gas and add kashmiri tea leaves to it.Mix and cover the pan.
  4. Let the tea leaves infuse in water for 6-7 minutes.
  5. Now put some chopped almonds,walnuts and pista in serving cup.
  6. Strain and pour the kahwa in serving cup.
  7. Add few drops of lemon juice to it.
  8. Stir and serve immediately.
