ABOUT Carrot Paratha RECIPE

A delicious, nutitious beta carotene rich paratha. Good for all age groups

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For stuffing masala:
  2. Carrots grated 5-6
  3. Onions finely chopped 3
  4. Coriander leaves a handful
  5. Garam masala 1 tsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  8. For dough
  9. Wheat flour 1 1/2 bowl
  10. Maida 1/2 bowl
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. For stuffing masala: Heat a kadai. Add onion and fry till translucent. Then add carrots. Fry well. Now add salt, garam masala, red chilli powder and coriander leaves and fry for 5 minutes. Keep aside to cool. Once cooled, make equal sized balls.
  2. For dough: Take a bowl. Add wheat flour and maida. Add required water and knead into a dough. Make equal sized balls.
  3. Roll each dough ball into a small chapati. Then keep the stuffing masala and close it and roll into parathas. Follow the same procedure for the remaining masala.
  4. Heat a tawa. Add butter. Roast the parathas on both sides.
  5. Serve hot with thick curd.
