Poha is nothing but flat rice, poha laddo is very tasty and nutty in taste, adding badam gives extra taste and we are very using powdered jaggery which is healthy. Totally it is power packed ladoo with both tasty and healthy. It is very healthy for kids.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Poha/ Aval/Atukulu - 1 cup
  2. Badam - 1 cup
  3. Powdered jaggery - 3/4 cup
  4. Elachi powder - 1 tsp
  5. Case nuts - 7
  6. raisins - 7
  7. Ghee - 1/4rth to 1/2 cup
  8. Milk - very little (optional I did not used)

Instructions

  1. Take a pan add poha dry fry it till changes color and becomes crispy. Fry it on medium to low flames. Do not burn it.
  2. Take the above in a plate and let it cool completely.
  3. Now take a mixer jar add fried poha, badam, elachi powder grind it to fine powder.
  4. To the above add powdered jaggery and grind it finely and take it into bowl.
  5. Let it cool, now take a pan add 2 tsp of ghee then fry cashew nuts when it starts changing color add raisins fry it it caheews become golden color and raisins become fluffy. Add it to the powdered poha mixture.
  6. Mix the above well, add melted ghee little by little and start moulding ladoo's.
  7. If you d't like ghee you can mould ladoo's by sprinkling little amount of milk. But shelf life of ladoo's will be 2 days when you use milk.
  8. Yummy, delicious and healthy poha badam ladoo's are ready to serve.
