ABOUT Beetroot Halwa RECIPE

A super healthy halwa.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Beetroot shredded 6 cups
  2. Condensed milk 1 can
  3. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  4. Dry fruits of your choice
  5. Milk 2 to 3 cups
  6. Butter or ghee 4 to 5 tbsp
  7. Milk powder 3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Peel and grate the beetroot and cook in a pan.
  2. Add milk and let it cook. It wll be cooked fully in about 20 to 25 minutes on a low flame. If required cook it a little more
  3. Add the other ingredients after 25 minutes.
  4. For the last 10 minutes just increase the flame and keep stirring continuously until the ghee separates.
  5. Garnish with nuts and serve hot or chilled.
  6. You can pressure cook also. But I prefer slow cooking as it enhances the taste.
