Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For koftas:
  2. Bottle gourd/lauki grated and squeezed 1 1/2 cups
  3. Besan 4tbsp
  4. Onions finely chopped 1/2 cup
  5. Ginger chopped 1 tsp
  6. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  7. Pomegranate powder 1/4 tsp
  8. Green chilli chopped 3
  9. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Oil for shallow frying
  11. Salt to taste
  12. FOR GRAVY:
  13. Oil 1 tbsp
  14. Onion paste 1 cup
  15. Garlic and ginger paste 1 tbsp
  16. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  17. Degi mirch 1 tsp
  18. Green chilli 2
  19. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  20. Water 2- 3 cups
  21. Tomato paste 2 tbsp
  22. Cream 1 tbsp
  23. Meat Masala 1 tbsp
  24. Dry methi leaves 1 tsp
  25. Salt to taste
  26. Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix all the ingredients for koftas except the oil. Make small balls and fry in hot oil.
  2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, green chillies, ginger and garlic paste, turmeric powder, degi mirch, onion paste. Saute for 5-6 minutes. Add in the tomato paste.
  3. After 3 minutes, add water 2 cups (Add more if needed) salt and pressure cook for 15 minutes or till 7 whistles.
  4. Add methi, meat masala, cream and the prepared kofta balls.
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
