Slurp! These juicy and scrumptious Jalebis are not at all difficult to make. Make them instantly whenever you feel like having this super awesome comfort food. This is actually a stress buster for me. I usually make them to make myself feel better. Nothing much to remember in this simple recipe except for two things. One is frying them on a low to medium high heat adjusting the flame whenever required and the other is that the sugar syrup must be warm and not hot. So make the batter first, give it a standing time until you make the sugar syrup. Then allow it to cool down a bit and then proceed with frying the Jalebis. Happy Frying Folks!

Mix all the first five ingredients into a flowing consistency batter adding little water as required.
Keep it aside for atleast an hour. However they can be made right away too.
Make the sugar syrup adding water, sugar and cardamom powder into a little thick consistency syrup. There is no need of any string consistency here.
Heat oil or ghee in a wide pan. Fill the batter in a Jalebi mould or any polythene bag and make concentric rings starting from the centre.
Make few at a time and dip each of these in the warm syrup for a minute and then set aside in a plate. Fry them on a low to medium high heat only to avoid burning them.
Serve them hot with pistachio slivers.
