ABOUT Verkadalai Urundai ( Peanut Jaggery Balls) RECIPE

These peanut jaggery balls are tasty and easy to make.It's my all time comfort snack.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 2 cups roasted peanuts.
  2. Jaggery 1 cup.
  3. Ghee to grease your palm.
  4. 1/2 tesp cardamom powder.
  5. Water 1/2 cup.

Instructions

  1. Deskin roasted peanuts and half them.
  2. In a pan heat jaggery and water with cardamom powder.
  3. Once it melts filter it, and continue heating till it's thick and frothy.
  4. Add few drops to a small bowl of water and it should stand firm.(hard ball consistency)
  5. Remove add peanuts and stir well.
  6. Grease your palm with ghee,take small portions and roll to a ball.
  7. Let cool and store.
  8. My alltime favourite snack.
