From some months I am missing my Mom a lot. She was making Shepu with daal very nice. So I am Presenting Shepu my mom's favourite in different form.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Shepu ( dil) vege , 1 bowl.
  2. Sooji 2 bowl
  3. Poha 1 bowl.
  4. Jaggery grated 3/4 bowl.
  5. Ginger Small piece.
  6. Garlic cloves 6 to 8
  7. Green chilli 1
  8. Fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
  9. Roasted Zeera crushed 1 tsp
  10. Oil for dosa making 1/2 cup
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Pepper powder 1 / 2 tsp
  13. Coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  14. For seasoning.
  15. Oil 1 tbsp
  16. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  17. Urad daal 1 tsp
  18. Asafoetida 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Soak Sooji in 1 bowl water for 1 hour
  2. Soak Poha ( rice flakes) and methi seeds together in 1 bowl. water for 1 hour.
  3. After an hour grind Poha, Methi seeds, ginger, garlic, chilli.
  4. Add dil leaves and blend with them.
  5. Mix with Sooji.
  6. Boil grated Jaggery in little water till melt.
  7. Add to the mixture. Add Salt, Pepper and Zeera.
  8. Your batter is ready. Add chopped Coriander leaves and mix nicely.
  9. Heat 1 tbsp oil , add Asafetida, mustard seeds and Urad daal.
  10. After it splitter add to the batter.
  11. Heat a non stick griddle. Spread 1 tsp oil.
  12. Spread a laddle full of batter.
  13. Cover it . Cook on medium heat.
  14. Turn as one side is done.
  15. Serve with Coriander mint chutney
