ABOUT Sesame Jaggery Parantha RECIPE

Home made sesame jaggery parantha is one of the best parantha in winter for everyone. It is sweet sticky parantha. The addition of sesame, almond, cardamom, saffron threads, and salt makes it yum and keeps you warm.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole wheat flour 2cup
  2. Carom seeds 1tsp
  3. Ghee 1tbsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Water as required
  6. For stuffing :
  7. Sesame seeds 1/2cup
  8. Jaggery 1/2cup
  9. Cardamom powder 1tsp
  10. Saffron threads 8-10
  11. Chopped almonds 1-2tbsp
  12. Salt 1/4tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat a non -stick pan, add sesame seeds and roast it for 3-4mins on low flame.
  2. When it changes in to light golden in colour, off the flame.
  3. Keep it aside for 5mins.
  4. Bring a blender jar, add roasted sesame seeds and blend it once.
  5. Now open the lid, add jaggery and blend it once again. Make fine powder.
  6. Now transfer it into a bowl ,add cardamom powder, saffron threads, chopped almonds, Salt. Mix it well.
  7. Bring a bowl, add whole wheat flour, carom seeds, ghee, Salt and mix it.
  8. Add little little water and make a smooth dough.
  9. Now devide the dough into 8-10 small portion and round it like ball.
  10. Bring the jaggery mixture, stuff all the balls and roll it like chapati.
  11. Heat tawa, add rolled chapati,spread ghee both sides and cook for 2mins both sides on medium flame.
  12. Cook all chapati like that.
  13. Sesame jaggery parantha is ready. Serve hot with pickles and hot ginger tea.
