ABOUT Seafood Paella RECIPE

Don't be intimidated by the name. This Spanish rice dish, is very simple to put together and is best enjoyed warm.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Olive Oil 1 tblsp
  2. Sliced Red bell pepper 1 number
  3. Sliced yellow bell pepper 1 number
  4. Sliced Green capsicum 1 number
  5. French beans 6
  6. Minced Garlic 2 tblsp
  7. Green Peas 1 tblsp
  8. Sea food stock or water 1 cup
  9. Rice 1.5 cups
  10. Saffron 1 pinch
  11. Salt to taste
  12. White wine 2 tblsp
  13. Large prawns 5 numbers
  14. Mussels 2
  15. Calamari rings 10-12

Instructions

  1. Saute and cook garlic in a Paella pan or any flat saucepan
  2. Add the vegetables and continue sauteeing for about 3 minutes
  3. Add white wine and deglaze
  4. Add rice and saute for 1 minute
  5. Add stock
  6. Add saffron
  7. Check for the doneness of rice. About 20 minutes in to the rice being cooked or until it is 3/4 cooked, add the seafood and cook an additional 5 to 10 minutes
