Warm creamy whole milk infused with the goodness of almonds along with fragrant saffron and cardamom in this Kesar Badam Doodh is a fitting welcome drink for your guests at your next festival get together or winter nights...A glass/khullad of this warm, frothy concoction is enough to take you some place warm and fuzzy and cozy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 Ltr Milk
  2. 2 tbsp milk for soaking kesar
  3. 20-25 kesar strands
  4. 10-12 Almonds
  5. 10-12 pistachios
  6. 10-12 Cashew nuts
  7. 2 tbsp chironji
  8. 4 tbsp sugar
  9. 1 tsp Cardamon powder

Instructions

  1. Soak the saffron strands in 2-3 tbsp of milk for 2 hours.
  2. Soak almonds in water for 2 hrs...peel it and grind it into fine paste..
  3. Heat milk in a pan. 
  4. Add saffron soaked in milk,blanched almond ,slices of cashew nuts, pistachios, chironji and cook on low heat for 40-45 minutes. Keep stirring in between. Add sugar and mix well.
  5. Add cardamon powder in the last ...
  6. Serve hot in khullad to beat winters...or cold in summers..
