ABOUT Saffron Almond Cookies RECIPE

One of the most delicious cookies with the natural colour and flavor of saffron.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 cup unsalted butter.
  2. 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour.
  3. 1/2 cup corn flour.
  4. 1/2 cup Castor sugar.
  5. Generous pinch of saffron.
  6. 2 tbsp hot milk.
  7. 1/2 tesp cardamom powder.
  8. Finely chopped roasted almonds to garnish.

Instructions

  1. Soak saffron in hot milk for at least 2 hours. I used Bell Saffron.
  2. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  3. Cream butter and sugar.
  4. Add in the remaining ingredients and only the saffron milk.
  5. Mix well to form a soft dough.
  6. Take small portions and make a ball ,lightly flatten it and place on a lined tray.
  7. Garnish with chopped almonds.
  8. Bake at 170°C for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove cool and enjoy the yummy cookies.
  10. Cup measurment 1 cup = 240 ml
