ABOUT Methi Khichdi with til chutney RECIPE

A delicious winter food .Rice cooked with veggies and methi and accompanied with smoky til chutney to give warmth in those chilly nights

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mustard oil 2tbsp
  2. Hing 1/4tsp
  3. Methi seeds 2 tbsp
  4. Carrot chopped 1 cup
  5. Peas 1 cup
  6. Rice 1 cup
  7. Green chillies 3
  8. Salt 1.5 tsp
  9. Til chutney
  10. Til seeds 1/4 cup
  11. Coriander leaves 3 tbsp
  12. Green chilli 1
  13. Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  14. Salt 1/4 tsp
  15. Lemon juice 1tsp
  16. Curd 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a cooker , add methi and hing
  2. Add veggies and stir
  3. Add green chillies and salt
  4. Add rice and 2 cup water
  5. Stir and Cook for 2 whistle only on high heat
  6. Til chutney
  7. Roast sesame seeds for few minutes on a tawa and cool
  8. In a mixer add all the ingredients for chutney and grind
  9. Chutney ready
