ABOUT Apple and Pineapple Halwa RECIPE

A fruity twist to the normal halwa that you will all love.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Pineapple murabba : 1 ring chopped
  2. Apple murabba : 3 pcs chopped and take out the seeds from it.
  3. Water : 3 cups
  4. Suji : 1 cup
  5. Cardamom powder : 1 tsp
  6. Pineapple essence : 1 tsp
  7. Kesar : 1 tbsp or orange food color : 2 pinch
  8. Sugar : 1/2 cup or to taste
  9. Sugar syrup from murabba : 1 cup or to taste
  10. Unsalted butter : 3 tbsp + 3 tbsp
  11. Coconut powder : 2 tbsp
  12. Dry fruits : 1/4 cup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil water and slow the flame. Now add chopped pineapple pieces and apple murabba pieces in it. Mix.
  2. Add kesar or food color to it and let it cook on slow flame.
  3. Heat 3 tbsp butter in kadai, add suji to it and roast till golden on high flame. Slow the flame, now pour boiled murabba water in it and stir continuously so that no lumps are formed. Cover and cook for 10 mins. Do not open the lid in between.
  4. Now open the lid and add sugar and sugar syrup to it. Mix well.
  5. It will become watery, add cardamon powder and dry fruits and mix well. Let it cook on slow flame till it thickens.
  6. Now add butter to it and mix well. When it starts to leave the sides, it is cooked.
  7. Pour it in a serving bowl and sprinkle coconut powder on it.
  8. Serve.
