ABOUT Orange & Honey Chicken RECIPE

Chicken cooked in spices with addition of orange juice and honey. This slowly braised Orange & Honey Chicken with a little sweet and tangy taste is a very nice option as a winter dinner menu.

Ingredients Serving: 4

Chicken medium pieces 500 g
Fresh Orange juice 1 cup full
Honey 1/4 cup
Green cilli 4-5
onion 1 medium size finely chopped
Onion paste 1 tablespoon
Garlic finely chopped 1 tablespoon
Ginger paste 2 teaspoon
Cilli powder 1 teaspoon or as you like
Turmeric and salt as required
1 " stick cinnamon and 2 cloves and 1 green Cardamom mix powder
Cooking oil 2 tablespoon

Instructions

Clean chicken pieces , rub with cinnamon- cloves- cardamom powder and keep aside.
Heat oil add chopped onions and fry until golden brown in colour.
Add chopped garlic and fry
Add ginger paste, onion paste stir and keep frying.
Add chicken , mix well
Add turmeric powder, cilli powder mix all keep stirring on low flame.
Cover it. Let the chicken cook in its own released liquid.
When it becomes dry add 1/2 cup of warm water adjust the salt and cover again.
After few minutes open the cover, add orange juice , green chillis and cover again.
Let it cook slowly on very low flame.
After 10- 12 minutes, remove the cover and check, if the chicken cooked spread honey and mix.
Check the seasoning once again.
Cover it again for few minutes.
Spread little more honey before serving and garnish with oranges.
Serve hot.
