ABOUT Sattu paratha RECIPE

Bihar special Whole wheat Parathas made with filling roasted gram flour and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Whole wheat flour - 2 cups
  2. Water - As required
  3. Roasted gram flour(sattu) - 1/2 cup
  4. Onion - 1 (chopped)
  5. Green chillies - 2 ( chopped)
  6. ChoppedCoriander leaves - 1 tsp
  7. Chopped Garlic - 1 tsp
  8. Mustard oil - 2 tsp
  9. Mango pickle masala - 1 tsp
  10. Salt - As required
  11. Ghee - As required

Instructions

  1. Take whole wheat flour in a big bowl.
  2. Knead a soft dough with help of water.
  3. Keep aside.
  4. In another bowl, take roasted gram flour(sattu).
  5. Add chopped onions, garlic, chillies and coriander leaves.
  6. Add mustard oil and mango pickle masala.
  7. Add salt and a little water.
  8. Mix all well.
  9. Stuffing is ready.
  10. Make big lemon size balls from dough.
  11. Give bowl shape each balls.
  12. Fill stuffing and close all edges.
  13. Roll out thick parathas with help of rolling pin.
  14. Cook parathas on hot tava.
  15. Apply ghee on all parathas and enjoy with mango pickles.
