ABOUT Apple Pie Tiramisu(Eggless) RECIPE

A wonderful variation of the classic tiramisu, made with apple pie and cinnamon will make you happy and you would want to eat one more piece.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For the Tiramisu:
  2. 1/2 cup coffee decoction
  3. 2 tsp Rum
  4. Vanilla sponge cake 200 gms
  5. One fourth Cup Caramel sauce
  6. Walnuts for garnish
  7. For Vanilla Pudding:
  8. 1 pack Instant vanilla pudding ( i have used Harnic general brand)
  9. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  10. 1 cup milk
  11. For Caramel sauce:
  12. 50g butter
  13. 1 cup (200g) brown sugar
  14. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  15. 1/2 cup (125ml) cream
  16. To make Mousse:
  17. 1Cup Heavy whipping cream
  18. 1/2cup powdered sugar
  19. Cream cheese or mascarpone cheese pack (i have used Philadelphia brand cream cheese)
  20. To make Apple pie filling:
  21. 3 Medium apples, sliced
  22. ½ Lemon, juiced
  23. 2 tbsp honey
  24. Sugar 1 tbsp
  25. All-purpose flour 1 tsp
  26. 1 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. To make Caramel sauce: Put butter, brown sugar and vanilla essence in a saucepan. Stir over a low heat for about 5 minutes until melted and smooth. Remove from the heat. Stir in the cream until it is well combined.
  2. To make Mousse : Beat heavy whipping cream on medium-high speed. As whipped cream begins to get thicker, slowly add powdered sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Divide whipped cream equally in two bowls and set in the refrigerator.
  3. Now beat the creamcheese on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes, scraping down the bowl occasionally. Slowly add the pudding made earlier, to the cream cheese, and beat together to eliminate any lumps in the cream cheese. Combine half of the whipped cream in the pudding mixture and fold until combined. Your mousse is ready.
  4. To make Vanilla Pudding : In a medium-sized bowl, combine vanilla pudding powder with cinnamon. Add boiled milk and whisk until pudding mix is dissolved. Refrigerate 10-15 minutes until firm.
  5. To make apple pie filling : Slice apples into small pieces and squeeze a lemon over it. Add sugar, flour, honey and cinnamon over top of apples. Stir to mix ingredients. Heat apples over medium heat for 15-20 minutes. Cover and cook till soft. Set aside and allow to cool.
  6. To build the tiramisu :
  7. Layer the bottom of a pan with parchment paper
  8. Lay vanilla sponge cake pieces cut into thick strips one by one.
  9. Pour little cofee-rum decoction with spoon over it.
  10. Layer half the mousse on top of the cake and spread evenly.
  11. Now make a layer of apple pie filling and spread across the mousse, gently pressing it in.
  12. Repeat the above steps to make atleast 3 layers.
  13. Top the tiramisu with remaining whipped cream
  14. Cover with cling film and keep it in the fridge for at least 8 hours to set.
  15. Cut into pieces carefully.
  16. Right before serving, drizzle with remaining caramel and sprinkle chopped walnuts over it.
