ABOUT CHAKRI PHOOL RECIPE

It is a fusion one ,I took the concept from Bhakarwadi and give it a twist with fenugreek and coriander leaves

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. For the dough ---refined flour 125 gram
  2. carom seeds one teaspoon
  3. salt one pinch
  4. Refined oil 2 tablespoons
  5. for the stuffing --- fenugreek leaves one cup
  6. Coriander leaves 1 cup
  7. Cumin seeds one teaspoon
  8. Red chilli powder half teaspoon
  9. Turmeric powder half teaspoon
  10. Coriander powder half teaspoon
  11. salt as per taste
  12. refined oil( for frying) as required

Instructions

  1. sieve the refined flour( maida) and mix carom seeds and salt to it
  2. Now pour oil and mix it well
  3. add very little amount of water at a time and make a soft dough
  4. Cover it with a damp cloth and rest it for 15 minutes
  5. meanwhile wash the fenugreek and coriander leaves and chop these finely
  6. now add cumin seeds, coriander powder ,red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix them well
  7. divide the mixture into two parts
  8. now divide the prepared dough into 2 parts
  9. now take one part in a rolling board and make a square shaped roti
  10. spread one teaspoon of oil on to it
  11. now spread one part of fenugreek mixture on to it and rub it on the roti
  12. Sprinkle little maida on it
  13. now roll it tightly
  14. make another roll in the same way
  15. now cut the roll and make pieces into half inch thickness
  16. using hand or rolling pin press them gently
  17. heat the frying pan and fry them in low flame till crispy
  18. Serve it
