This one pot pulav will goes well for main dish for party.Its very simple yet tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Long grain rice - 1/2 kg
  2. Mint leaves - 1 cup
  3. carrots - 1 big
  4. potatoes - 2
  5. beans - 15 no.s
  6. coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  7. green chillies - 5
  8. ginger - 1 inch
  9. garlic cloves - 4
  10. ,green peas - 1/2 cup
  11. ghee & oil - 5 tbsp
  12. cinnamon - 3 inch
  13. bay leaves - 4
  14. Star Anise -3
  15. cloves - 5
  16. mase - 2
  17. black cuminseeds- 1 tbsp
  18. cardamom - 5
  19. salt - as per taste

Instructions

  1. Wash & Soak the long grain rice for about 15 min.
  2. In the meanwhile cut carrots,beans,potatoes.
  3. For mint mixture, take a mixer jar add freshly washed mint leaves,coriander leaves,green chillies,ginger & garlic cloves into it and make a fine paste.
  4. Take a thick bottom pan or cooker add ghee & oil into it .once it gets heat add bay leaves & Star Anise,mase, black cuminseeds,cardamom,cloves,cinnamon.
  5. Once we get fried aroma add the chopped vegetables,green peas ,salt mix it well and close the lid.
  6. Once the vegetables are tender now add the grind mint paste mix it well with vegetables & cook it for few minutes.
  7. Now add the water to it & bring it to boil then add soak long grain rice ,switch the flame to simmer and close the lid.
  8. Cook it until the rice left the moisture content and switch off the flame.
  9. Leave it for 5 more minutes on stove & now the flavorful mint vegetable biryani ready to serve.
