ABOUT Crispy Chappati Noodles/Surma RECIPE

Surma is my grand ma's recipe. This was used to be made on sundays from left over chappatis from saturday night and believe its the most easiest sides with chicken curry. I hope you all like it too.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 8 leftover roti's/ wheat flat bread rolled and chopped to make noodles
  2. 3 finely chopped onions
  3. 2 finely chopped green chilies
  4. 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
  5. 1 medium sized tomato
  6. 1/2 tsp chili powder
  7. 1/4 tsp coriander powder
  8. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  9. 1/4 tsp vinegar
  10. 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  11. 1/3 tsp sugar
  12. 2 tbsp Oil
  13. Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet and add onions followed by ginger-garlic paste. Saute well.
  2. Once they are light brown, add tomatoes and fry till it leaves oil.
  3. Add all the spice powders and again saute well.
  4. Next add in soy sauce and vinegar and again mix well. Adjust seasoning.
  5. Next add in the rolled and chopped roti's and mix well.
  6. Add sugar and mix well and garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.
