ABOUT Cheesy Corn Cutlet RECIPE

Healthy and tasty appetizer or could be a snack for after school kids.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Frozen corn kernels - 2 cups
  2. Potatoes - 3-4 (medium size)
  3. Chopped coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  4. Roughly chopped Ginger - 1 tbsp
  5. Finely Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  6. Green chilli - 3-4 (Chopped)
  7. Grated cheese - 1/4 cup
  8. Salt - As per your taste
  9. Maize flour / Corn flour - 5-6 tbsp (need bit extra for dusting)
  10. Oil - for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Boiled the corn kernels.
  2. Grind them into a coarse paste and set aside.
  3. Boiled the potatoes and mashed them.
  4. Take chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chillies, chopped Ginger and garlic.
  5. Grind them and make a coarse paste.
  6. Combine the coarse paste of corn kernels, mashed potato, salt together.
  7. Add the ginger-garlic-coriander leaves-chilli paste, corn flour and cheese.
  8. Mix well and give a shape.
  9. Roll into corn flour (like dusting).
  10. Put the cutlets on a baking sheet and cover it up with cling wrap and freeze the cutlets till they turn hard.
  11. Put a frying pan with sufficient oil over medium heat.
  12. Fry those cutlets until they turn into golden brown. **You could deep fry or pan fry.**
