ABOUT Crispy fara RECIPE

Fara is a eastern up famous steam dish but here i give a little twist in this dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice flour 2-3cup
  2. soaked chana dal to cup
  3. green chilli 4-5
  4. 8-10 garlic
  5. salt to taste
  6. turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  7. ghee 2 tsp for Moyan
  8. Oil for frying as required
  9. Soya chutney for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash n soak the chana dal for 4 -5 hour.
  2. Now we prepare the stuffing so strain the extra water of soak dal and grind the dal with garlic n chilli without adding water.
  3. Now add salt , turmeric in dal paste mix well. Stuffing is ready.
  4. Now we prepare the dough take rice flour in bowl add ghee n some salt add Luke warm water n knead the dough .
  5. Now put some oil in ur hand and knead again soft dough.
  6. Now make a small size ball for poori and make a little thick poori by ur palm.
  7. Put 1 spoon stuffing on poori and fold the poori like gujiya.
  8. Now steam all the fara on hot steamer.
  9. When fara is completely cool down (I'm keep in fridge sometime).
  10. Now put the kadhai on flame add oil and fry the fara on hot oil until the turn golden n crisp.
  11. Serve this crispy fara with soya chutney , ketchup n sliced onion.
