Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 280 grams Maida
  2. 400 grams Milkmaid (1 tin)
  3. 130 grams Butter
  4. 2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  5. 1 tsp Baking Soda
  6. 4 tbsp Coco Powder
  7. Hot water as required

Instructions

  1. In a bowl take all the dry ingredients and sieve them thrice.
  2. Pre heat the cooker. This is the most important step of baking. You should always pre heat the cooker/oven before baking.
  3. In another bowl whish butter and Milkmaid until soft and fluffy.
  4. Now add the dry ingredients to the wet one in two portions folding gently after additions. Do not over mix. Use hot water as required.
  5. Now transfer the batter to tin and bake it for 40-45 minutes.
  6. Once done take it out, allow it to cool and drizzle powdered sugar. (Optional)
  7. Last but not the best, most important step, ENJOY!
