Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Tomatoes - 2 large
  2. Green chilli-1
  3. Dry Red chilli- 2
  4. Cumin seeds- 1/4tsp
  5. Fenugreek seeds - 1/4tsp
  6. Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp
  7. Yogurt- 1 cup
  8. Water- 2 cups
  9. Grated coconut- 1/4 cup
  10. Salt-as required
  11. Oil - 1 tsp
  12. For tempering:
  13. Chopped Onion - 1 tbsp
  14. Mustard- 1/4 tsp
  15. Cumin-1/4tsp
  16. Red chillies-2
  17. Oil- 1 tbsp
  18. Hing- a pinch
  19. Curry leaves- few

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in kadai and add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, tomatoes, dry red chillies  and green chilli.
  2. Saute it for 5mins in medium flame.
  3. Switch off the flame and cool the same.
  4. Once it is cooled, grind it with grated coconut and salt to fine paste.
  5. In a bowl, whisk yogurt and add water & ground paste and coriander leaves
  6. Mix everything well and temper with the ingredients listed.
  7. serve with hot rice.
