ABOUT Tambdi Bhaji Sasam RECIPE

A Konkani traditional bhaji preparer using red amaranth leaves and grated coconut . A very healthy, easy as well as tasty dish . Tambdi means red .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Red amaranth leaves 1 large bunch
  2. Green chilies 4
  3. Ghee 2 tablespoons
  4. Mustard seeds 3/4 teaspoon
  5. Grated coconut ground to a paste 1/4 cup
  6. Salt 1 teaspoon
  7. water 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Firstly cook finely chopped spinach along with 2 chillies and 1/4 cup water .
  2. Once spinach is cooked , add the coconut paste and slow cook for 2 minutes .
  3. Add salt .
  4. Finally do tempering .
  5. Heat ghee and crackle mustard seeds .
  6. Fry 2 chillies .
  7. Pour the tempering to the spinach coconut gravy .
  8. Tambdi Bhaji Sasam is ready to serve with hot rice .
