Andhra Style Green Chilli chicken is a dry chicken recipe that is spiced mainly with green chilies and it also appears green in colour. It can be served as a dry snack or a side dish with your fried rice. Green Chilli chicken is a hot and spicy recipe which can be an addition to your Appetizers.Green Chilli chicken is a fresh-flavored, spicy recipe which can be cooked in minutes, making it simple, yet flavourful. First Step Marination : Grind together roughly chopped 3 dark green chilies, onions, garlic, ginger, coriander leaves,lemon juice and salt to taste and a dash of water. Make a fine paste.
Add this mixture to the cleaned boneless chicken pieces and marinate for about 1-2 hour.
Heat oil in a wok or kadhai. Add cumin seeds. When they begin to splatter add the 1 cup whole light green chilies and 3-4 dark green chilies into the wok.
Now, add salt and turmeric powder and mix well. Saute for 2 minutes on high heat and cover with lid for about 2 mins.
Then add marinated chicken to the wok and mix well. Cover with a lid for about 2 mins on a medium heat and let the chicken cook.
Add coriander powder, roasted cumin powder and garam masala powder and mix well.
Add water if required but remember this a dry chicken recipe.
Adjust salt and other seasonings if needed.
Cook on high heat for a minute. The cover and cook on a medium heat.
Cook for about 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked well. Serve hot.
Hot and Spicy Green Chili Chicken is ready to serve immediately. Enjoy !
