First prepare the briyani masala powder using the above said ingredients.
Grind it to coarse powder.
Mean while grind ginger garlic and keep aside.Then put green chillies,coriander,mint and curry leaves in a blender add little water and blend to smooth paste.
Then chop onion and tomato.keep aside.
Rinse and soak the rice .
In a heavy bottomed briyani vessel heat ghee and oil,add onion and fry until golden brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and ground briyani masala.
Saute well in low flame.
Add chopped tomatoes.
Mix and add salt to cook soft. ,then add curd and mix together nicely.
Then add green paste.
Mix well,let it cook for 3 minutes.
Add cleaned,washed and drained chicken pieces.
Mix and cook the chicken pieces for 7 -10 minutes.
In a wide vessel add enough water and bring it to boil,add,few chopped coriander and mint leaves, 1 tbsp oil,and salt to taste . Gently add rice and cook 75 percent.
Drain it.
Add half lemon juice to the briyani chicken masala.
Then transfer the cooked drained rice to the briyani vessel, sprinkle some fried onions, then add again half lemon juice over the rice.
Then pour the saffron solution over the rice.
Cover with aluminium foil and close with lid and keep in very low flame and allow it to dum for 15 minutes.switch off.
After 10 minutes open and mix well.
Now delicious green chilli chicken briyani is ready.
Serve with onion raitha and boiled egg.
