ABOUT Sweet Pepper lollipop RECIPE

Sweet mini peppers coated with gram flour and fried.Great as a snacks.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 7-8 tsp olive oil for deep frying
  2. 4-5 mini sweet peppers
  3. Salt and sugar as per taste
  4. 1/2 cup gram flour
  5. 1 tsp nigella seeds
  6. Toothpick
  7. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red mirch powder
  9. 1/4 cup water
  10. 2 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Take 4-5 sweet mini peppers .
  2. Cut the peppers into 2-3 halves vertically and take out the seeds from inside.Add lemon juice and salt and marinate it for 30 mins.
  3. Skew each piece with a toothpick,to give it a lollipop form.
  4. Take gram flour in a bowl.Add turmeric powder,salt,sugar,nigella seeds .Make a batter with water.Batter should be thick in consistency.In the meantime,heat oil in a flat pan .Once the oil is hot,add little oil to the batter and mix it well.
  5. Dip each piece of pepper in batter and put it in hot oil.
  6. Deep fry each one.When one side is done,flip it.
  7. Once done,take it out from oil and put it in tissue paper.Serve hot with tomato sauce.
