Thai originated Sriracha sauce is freshly prepared at home , which then gets in some bread cubes turns into a tantalizing super spicy starter / appetizer / snack . Sure to please spice lovers .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Sriracha Sauce :
  2. Thai Chili / Bird rye chillies 10
  3. Hot water 1 cup
  4. Garlic cloves fat 4
  5. Vinegar 3 tablespoons
  6. Palm candy powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Salt 1.5 teaspoon
  8. Other ingredients :
  9. Onion 1 medium finely chopped
  10. Bread slices 9
  11. Soya sauce 1 tablespoon
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. Toasted white sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
  14. Cilantros finely chopped for garnishing
  15. Cooking oil 5 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Soak chillies in a cup of hot water . Cover and rest for 10 minutes .
  2. Now grind the soaked chillies with little water and garlic cloves into a smooth loose solution .
  3. Add vinegar to the chilli solution .
  4. Add salt and palm candy powder .
  5. Mix all together and keep aside .
  6. Cut bread slices into small cubes ( bite sized pieces ) .
  7. Heat 4 tablespoons oil in a pan . Shallow fry the bread pieces to golden colour .
  8. Transfer the fried bread pieces to a plate .
  9. In the same pan , add remaining oil .
  10. Add onions and sauté until translucent .
  11. Add the prepared sriracha thin sauce .
  12. Mix . Let the sauce cook until raw smell leaves and colour changes deep.
  13. Add soya sauce .
  14. Add toasted sesame seeds .
  15. Add the fried bread pieces to the sauce . Toss quickly until sauce coats bread .
  16. Let it be in heat for 3 minutes .
  17. Garnish with chopped cilantros.
  18. Sriracha bread cubes ready . Serve hot .
