Boil the arhar dal in cooker with salt and turmeric powder in water
When the cooker cools down, take out the dal in a bowl and mash a little
In a pan take oil or ghee. When it get hot add hing, curry leaves cut into pieces by hand, mustard seed, garlic, green chilli
When the mustard seed starts to splutter add the tomato
When the mixture starts releasing oil add the boiled dal and mix properly
When the mixture gives a boil add little water and mix
When required consistency of the dal is gained remove from flame
You can garnish it with coriander leaves
