ABOUT Crisp khichdi Toast RECIPE

This is such a wonderful and nutritious recipe. Usually kids don't like to have khichdi. So this is my innovative recipe.I have prepared crisp bread toast with using khichdi , semolina and few common ingredients. So this is a very smart way to feed khichdi to kids in a yummy way without letting them know.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Leftover khichdi 1/2 cup
  2. Thick Curd 1/2 cup
  3. Semolina(suji) 1/2 cup
  4. Salt and chilly according to taste
  5. Oregano 1 teaspoon
  6. Grated carrot 1 teaspoon
  7. Minced onion 1 tablespoon
  8. Oil for greasing
  9. Fresh Bread slices 6

Instructions

  1. In a big bowl add khichdi and curd . Mix it very nicely , so that mixture becomes of single colour.
  2. Now add semolina with salt, oregano and chilly.
  3. Again mix it very nicely and keep this mixture covered aside for 10 minutes
  4. Now after 10 minutes add carrot and onions. Once again mix well. Our mixture is ready. (Ready mixture should be thick).
  5. Now heat a non stick tawa and grease with oil.
  6. Now take a bread slice and cover one side of the bread with ready mixture nicely. Bread surface should not be visible at all.
  7. Roast khichdi mixture covered side of bread on low flame first.
  8. When this side becomes crisp, flip slice carefully and roast other side too till it becomes golden and crisp.
  9. Ready all slices in same way.
  10. Yummy and healthy crisp khichdi toast is ready to relish.
  11. Serve hot with sauce of your choice.
  12. These toasts can be good option for dinner party, kitty party and for tiffin.
