Delicious leftover idli with new inovation in chinese style

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 12 pieces Leftover idli
  2. 1 finely chopped onion
  3. 1 finely chopped capsicum
  4. 1/2 cup chopped spring onion
  5. 7 cloves chopped garlic
  6. 1 tspoon chopped ginger
  7. 3 chopped green chillies (in length)
  8. 1 tspoon soya sauce
  9. 1 tspoon chilly sauce
  10. 2 tspoon tomato sauce
  11. 1 tspoon vinegar
  12. 1/4 tspoon aginomotto (optional)
  13. 1/2 tspoon black pepper powder
  14. 1 table spoon cornflour
  15. 1/4 tspoon sugar(optional)
  16. Salt according to taste
  17. 1 table spoon oil
  18. 1 table spoon green spring onions for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Cut all the idlis in 4 pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add onion,capsicum,spring onions,ginger,garlic and green chillies.
  4. Stir fry on medium flame till the onions turn translucent,
  5. Now add all three sauces, vinegar, ajinomotto,sugar and salt.
  6. Stir and mix them very well.
  7. Add 1 to 1.25 cups water let the mixture starts to boil.
  8. In a small bowl take cornflour and 2 table spoons water mix them very well.
  9. Add cornflour paste in sauce or gravy and mix very well so that there be no lumps.
  10. Continue to stir and mix the gravy well on slow flame
  11. Cooking sauce or gravy takes about 3-4 minutes on a medium flame.
  12. When the sauce thickens add black pepper powder.
  13. Then add the idli pieces and gently stir and coat idli pieces in the gravy or sauce.
  14. Switch off the flame and garnished with some green spring onions.
