ABOUT Dim’er Kheertua RECIPE

Some leftover milk powder were there at home from few days, so I thought of making its use in someway. And I started making it as kheertua. The taste was really superb and its creamy texture made it more yummy. Everything was perfect.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cups of milk powder
  2. 1 egg
  3. 3-4 cardamom crushed
  4. 1 bay leaf
  5. 1/2 liter of milk
  6. 4-5 tablespoon of sugar
  7. a pinch of saffron
  8. few rose petals for garnishing
  9. some dry nuts chopped 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat an egg. In it add the milk powder and mix well. The mixture will be wet and it should be like that perfect for making it soft.
  2. Grease your hands with ghee and start making small cylindrical shapes out of it.
  3. Now boil 1/2 liter of milk with crushed cardamom, sugar and bay leaf.
  4. When the milk is done with one boil, simmer the heat and add the rolls in it. Boil them for 10 minutes and stir in between with soft hands so that they don't break.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of saffron to it and off the flame.
  6. Now plate it and garnish with rose petals and pumpkin seeds.
