Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. For Cake
  2. Wholewheat flour 1 cup
  3. Cocoa powder 1/3 cup
  4. sugar powder 3/4 cup
  5. Oil 2/3 cup
  6. Milk 1 cup
  7. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  8. Baking Powder 1 Tsp
  9. Chocolate essence 2 tsp
  10. For Chocolate ganache -
  11. Choco chips 1.5 cup
  12. Heavy cream 1 cup
  13. For decoration -
  14. Choco chips
  15. Edible Silver pearls

Instructions

  1. For cake -
  2. Sieve the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix all the wet ingredients and pour in the dry ingredients.
  4. Mix everything to form a pourable batter.
  5. Grease a baking dish and pour the batter.
  6. Preheat the oven or the convection mode of the microwave at 180 degrees.
  7. Bake the cake for 40 minutes or till the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake rest for 15 minutes before de-moulding it.
  9. Let the cake cool on the wire rack.
  10. For Chocolate Ganache -
  11. Pour the cream in a microwave safe bowl and warm it in the microwave.
  12. Take the bowl out and then put the choco chips in the bowl and keep it covered for 5 minutes.
  13. After 5 minutes, whisk it to melt the choco chips.
  14. Whisk for at least 5 minutes.
  15. When the mixture becomes smooth, cover and let it sit for another 10 minutes. The ganache will thicken as it cools.
  16. Now, cut the cake horizontally from the middle.
  17. Spread the ganache and keep the other part of the cake over it.
  18. Now, keep the cake on a wire rack and space a plate below the rack.
  19. Now, pour the ganache over the cake.
  20. Sprinkle choco chips and silver pearls or any other sprinkle you have.
  21. Keep the cake in fridge till the time to serve.
  22. Cut and serve.
