I will surely try this.
Pressure cook daal with salt, turmeric powder and sambhar powder to 4 or 5 whistles
Heat oil add asafetida, mustard seeds, whole red chilly and curry leaves and let it splutter, add it to daal
Add tamarind juice and see the consistency of the sambhar and adjust water accordingly
For vada Soak both the daals and fenugreek seeds for 5 hours, grind to a paste
Whisk properly , add salt
Heat oil and fry vadaa on .Medium flame. Try to make vada with holes, if you can
