When you go to an Indian restaurant you always end up ordering Naan Or garlic butter naan because you know you are not going to get this at home because for this you need that clay pot oven a Tandoor to get that taste and feel but here I share you four ways ! so that you could get almost the same taste and feel right at your home. Yes today I am going to share this very simple and easy way to make garlic butter naan in very simple way on griddle / skillet , in cooker , in microwave and in toaster.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 cups all purpose flour
  2. one teaspoon salt
  3. 2 teaspoon sugar
  4. 2 teaspoon active dried yeast
  5. 1/2 Cup warm water
  6. 1/2cup milk
  7. one teaspoon oil
  8. One cup of water for kneading
  9. 1/2cup melted butter
  10. 2 tablespoon grated garlic
  11. 1tablespoon garlic paste
  12. 3 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
  13. 1/4 cup dusting flour

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl add half cup of warm water ,sugar and active dried yeast together .Stir well and cover it and keep in a warm place for 10 minutes to proof and turn foamy .
  2. Now mix butter and grated garlic together in a small bowl .Mix well and microwave it for 30 seconds .And keep aside .
  3. In a big deep bowl add flour, oil ,garlic paste,milk and salt together and Mix well .
  4. Add blooming yeast in it .
  5. Mix all ingredients well and knead the dough briefly with some water .
  6. Dough should be little wet and sticky
  7. Grease another deep bowl and place the dough in it .
  8. Cover it with plastic wrap .
  9. Leave to rise at warm place until double in size
  10. After 2hours take out the dough .
  11. Punch down the dough and transfer to the kitchen plateform.
  12. Heat an iron skillet or cooker or preheat oven at 500 °fahrenheit or toaster.
  13. Devide the dough into 10 parts.
  14. Dust the rolling plateform.
  15. Roll each dough to an oval shape .
  16. Spread chopped coriander over it .
  17. Roll gently.
  18. On Skillet : Apply some water on one side of rolled naan and stick wet side of naan on heated skillet .
  19. Slightly press ,this helps the naan to stick on to the skillet and when u can flip tawa up side down it will be contact.
  20. Brush some garlic butter over the naan
  21. Now after a minute or two when bubbles came up ,Flip tawa / skillet up side down and cook naan directly on the flame Till they turn golden brown.
  22. Take it out with the help of tong .
  23. Spread some more garlic butter over it immediately .
  24. In Oven : place 2 rolled naan on hot sheet tray , bake for 4 minutes,
  25. Remove and brush garlic butter on it .
  26. Put back in the oven with broker on for 2 minutes or untill charred.
  27. In Pressure cooker : take the rolled naan in your hand apply some water on back side .
  28. Stick wet side of naan inside the wall of the pressure cooker .Press lightly to stick well .
  29. Put the flame on high ,when u see will see lord of bubble right away .
  30. Lower the heat ,and flip the pressure cooker on the direct flame For few seconds or till charred
  31. Take them out with tong.
  32. Apply garlic butter immediately.
  33. In Toaster :place rolled naan on hot tawa.after a minute or two flip both side .
  34. Put them in the preheated toaster for 1 to 2 minutes.
  35. Take them out with the help of tong
  36. Apply some garlic butter in the toaster naan .
  37. Now place next rolled naan to the skillet / cooker / oven / toaster and repeat untill all naans are cooked
  38. Serve hot garlic butter naan with your favorite gravies.
