Ingredients For The Dough
All Purpose flour/Maida - 1 cup sifted
butter (softened) - 90 grams
Ice water - 2-3 tablespoons
powdered sugar - 1 tbsp
Ingredients For The Filling
red apple - 2
2 tablespoons lemon juice
powdered sugar -1 tbsp
Ingredients for the butter sauce
sugar - 100gms
butter - 50-60 gms
cream (amul) - 50 ml
Instructions
Take butter in a bowl add powdered sugar to it and whisk it till fluffy.
now add maida to it and mix thoroughly.
use your hands to mix till you get this crumbly texture
add ice cold water and knead a dough out of it and wrap it in a cling film wrap and keep it in the freezer for about 15-20 mins
now cut the apples into halves and remove the seeds in this way
slice the apples thinly.
Prepare a bowl half filled with water sugar and the lemon juice.Right away, place the sliced apples in the bowl so that they won't change color.Microwave the apples in the bowl for about 3 minutes, to make them slightly softer .
Place sugar in medium saucepan on medium heat. Cook and stir until mixture turns a deep amber color.
Carefully stir in butter . (Mixture will be bubbly.) Whisking constantly
then add cream and mix thoroughly. Butter sauce is ready.
now take out the dough from the freezer, knead it and make six parts of it and roll it into a long retangular shape and cut the edges to give it a proper rectangular shape.
apply the butter sauce on the dough and arrange the apple slices on the dough, overlapping one another. Make sure the top (skin side) of the slices sticks a little out of the strip
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Drain the apples.
Fold up the bottom part of the dough.
Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough, keeping the apple slices in place. Seal the edge at the end, pressing with your finger, and place in a regular muffin cup. No need to grease the muffin mold if silicone it aluminium grease it
bake them for 30 mins at 180°C.
ready to eat.....! you can serve these at tea time also serve this with vanilla ice cream (optional) as a dessert.
