When you opt for a yummy and healthy curry for rice or chapati then rajma curry will be a better choice. I tried this recipe for myself and it came out really well

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. White rajma
  2. Big onion -1
  3. Tomato medium sized -2
  4. Red chillies -2
  5. Coriander seeds - 2 full spoon
  6. Cloves -2
  7. Cinnamon -1/4 inch
  8. Garlic - 4 pieces
  9. Ginger - 1/4 inch
  10. Garam masala - 1 spoon
  11. Milk / cream (optional)
  12. Coriander leaves
  13. oil
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Jeera - 1/2 tspn to temper

Instructions

  1. Soak the rajma over night for about 8 hrs. Wash it 2-3 times and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  2. Reserve the rajma cooked water for later use.
  3. In a Kadaai add a tspn oil. Then add cinnamon, cloves, onion, tomato, garlic and ginger. Saute them well till the raw smell of tomatoes leave and becomes slightly mushy.
  4. Let it cool down and transfer it to a jar and grind them to a fine paste,.. Don't add too much of water.
  5. In a Kadaai add oil then jeera and let it splutter. Den add the paste to the Kadaai.
  6. Now add garam masala powder and cook for 2 mins.
  7. Now add the reserved water into the Kadaai and cook for sometime. Then add cooked Rajma and required salt. Cover it with a lid.
  8. Cook until the gravy becomes thick. (Now add milk or cream and cook for 2mins).
  9. Check for salt and finally garnish with some Corriander leaves.
