ABOUT Moroccan pan cakes or Muffle RECIPE

Mexican pan cakes or Muffle is a very delicious mexican version of pan ckaes made with semolina, all purpose flour and milk.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Semolina 1 cup
  2. All purpose flour 1 cup
  3. Warm water 1 cup
  4. 1/3 teaspoon dry yeast
  5. 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  6. 1 cup milk
  7. 1/2 cup yogurt
  8. 2 teaspoon baking powder
  9. 1 teaspoon salt
  10. Unsalted salted butter 1 tablespoon or as required

Instructions

  1. Put warm water, yeast and sugar in a blender. Let it stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Now add all the other ingredients and blend until mixture is smooth.
  3. Leave the mixture for about 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet. Grease it with little butter.
  5. Pour 1 tablespoon of batter . Cover and cook in low flame for 1 minute.
  6. Spread some more butter on the top and remove from skillet.
  7. The pan cakes should be soft and light brown spots should appear on back side of the pan cakes.
  8. Make all the pan cakes like this.
  9. Serve warm or room temperature with any spread or jam of your choice.
