ABOUT SUJI TOAST/RAWA TOAST RECIPE

Suji toast or rawa toast is the yummylicious and easy recipe that is perfect for breakfast or tea time snack. It is made with a blend of suji, yogurt and some veggies, applied on one side of bread slice. Then toasted on tawa. You can add veggies of your choice and can also use fresh cream in place of yogurt. Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bread slice white/brown 4
  2. Suji/rawa 1/2 cup
  3. Yogurt 1/2 cup
  4. Water 1/4 cup
  5. Finely chopped onion 1 tbsp
  6. Finely chopped capsicum (red, green, yellow) 2 tbsp
  7. Grated carrot 2 tbsp
  8. Finely chopped tomato 1 tbsp
  9. Grated cabbage 1 tbsp
  10. Finely chopped green chillies 2
  11. Finely chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Butter 2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take rawa/suji, yogurt and water in a mixing bowl. Mix it well and make a thick batter.
  2. Now add onion, capsicum, carrot, tomato, cabbage, green chillies, coriander and salt.
  3. Mix all together very well and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Now spread the prepared rawa mixture evenly over one side of the bread slice.
  5. Heat tawa or pan on low medium heat. Once hot, add butter.
  6. Place the bread on tawa with rawa mixture side down.
  7. Cook till it becomes golden brown.
  8. Apply some butter on the other side and flip it. Cook for few seconds or till crisp and brown.
  9. Cut it into half or triangles and serve hot with ketchup.
