ABOUT Eggless Mango Halwa RECIPE

It is a very easy smooth Indian pudding recipe with mango flavours. Its taste is grate. Here I have used semolina, ghee, sugar, milk, mango puree, cardamom powder and some dry fruits. My family love it very much. You can serve it for any festivatl.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 8 tbsp rava or semolina or sooji
  2. 5 tbsp mango puree
  3. 250 ml milk
  4. 6 tbsp sugar
  5. 3 tbsp ghee
  6. 2 tbsp finely chopped dry fruits (cashew nuts, pista, raisins)
  7. 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  8. Chopped mango for garnishing
  9. Red coloured tutti-frutti for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Grease small bowls in which you are going to set the haowa well with ghee and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan.
  3. Add rava or semolina and fry on medium heat till they change the colour light golden brown.
  4. Heat 250 ml milk separately.
  5. Add sugar to rava or semolina and stir for 1 minute.
  6. Add hot milk and dry fruit mixture and stir well.
  7. Stir continuously till semolina absorbs milk so that the mixture doesn't stick at the bottom.
  8. Add mango puree and mix well.
  9. Add cardamom powder.
  10. Stir till the moisture reduces.
  11. Pour it in the greased bowls and allow to cool at room temperature.
  12. Then refrigerate them for 2 hours.
  13. Transfer the mango halwa in serving plate carefully so that it doesn't break from any corner.
  14. Garnish it with chopped mango and red colour tutti-frutti and serve.
