Simple recipe with crunchy onion snd spicy chutney.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For the dosa
  2. 3 cups dosa batter.
  3. 2 medium onion thinly sliced.
  4. 2 green chilli chopped.
  5. Few chopped curry leaves.
  6. For the red chutney.
  7. 1/2 cup grated coconut.
  8. 1 1/2 tbsp roasted gram.
  9. Salt as per taste.
  10. Small gooseberry size tamrind.
  11. 4 dry red chilli.
  12. 1/4 " ginger peice.
  13. Seasoning for chutney
  14. 1 1/2 tesp oil.
  15. 1/4 ,tesp mustard seeds.
  16. 1/2 tesp urad dal.
  17. 1 slit dry red chilli
  18. Few curry leaves.
  19. Pinch asafoetida.

Instructions

  1. Take the dosa batter in a bowl.
  2. Add the given ingredients and mix well.
  3. Put the chutney ingredients in a mix jar ,grind to a fine paste with little water.
  4. Remove and season it with the given ingredients.
  5. Place a tawa on medium heat,pour a laddle of batter and spread in a circular motion.
  6. It should be slightly thicker than the plain dosa.
  7. Drizzle oil generously ,when it looks crisp flip it .Cook both sides golden brown.
  8. Remove serve hot with red chutney.
