Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice basmati 1 cup
  2. Toor dal 1/2 cup
  3. Tomato 1 big chopped
  4. Onion 1 big chopped
  5. Ginger, chilli, garlic chopped 1 tbs
  6. Mix vegetable ( potato, cauliflower, corn, green peas, carrot)
  7. Oil 1 tbs
  8. Ghee 1 tbs
  9. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  10. Clove, cinnamon, black pepper, Tej patta, red chilli
  11. Bisibelebath Masala 1 tbs
  12. Salt

Instructions

  1. Take rice and Toor dal together.
  2. Wash them with water 3 to 4 time soak for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat oil, ghee, cumin seeds, black pepper, clove, cinnamon, Tej parts, and red chilli and make tadaka.
  4. Add chopped ginger, garlic and green chilli. Saute them. Add chopped onions and Saute them.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and Saute them.
  6. When all cooked well add Bisibelebath Masala.
  7. Add chopped vegetable like potatoes, green peas, corn, cauliflower and carrots and Saute them.
  8. Add soaked rice and Toor dal.
  9. Add water, salt, turmeric and red chilli powder.
  10. Cook in cooker or you can cook it on gas on slow flame without cooker also.
  11. Masala khichadi in Bisibelebath style is ready to serve.
