ABOUT Dahi Misal RECIPE

Misal is a famous Maharastrian snack recipe, served with pav. Dahi misal you can serve with bread,pav or can enjoy as a chat. Misal is prepared with spicy masala and with sprouted moth.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/4 cup sprouted moth bean
  2. 1/4 cup sprouted moong( green gram)
  3. 1/2 cup curd
  4. 2 teaspoon dry grated coconut
  5. Whole garammasala( 2 clove, 2 cardamom, 1inch cinnamon, 1star anise, 1/4 teaspoon shahi jeera, javetri
  6. 2 small onion
  7. 1tomato
  8. 2teaspoon oil
  9. 1teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  10. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  11. 1tablespoon of kolhapuri red chilli powder
  12. 1/4 teaspoon cummin seeds
  13. 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
  14. 7-8 curry leaves
  15. 1lemon
  16. 1/2 teaspoon aamchoor powder
  17. Sev
  18. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. In a kadai take water
  2. Boil sprouted moong and moth
  3. In another kadai dry roast dry coconut, whole garam masala,Coriander seeds till golden in colour
  4. Let it Cook and make fine paste
  5. In kadai put 2teaspoon oil, add cummin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves
  6. Now add 1 finely chopped onion and saute till it transfer into pink colour
  7. Now add ginger garlic paste and tomato and saute till soft
  8. Now add one by one all the dry masalas, aamchoor powder and salt.
  9. Now its time to add grounded paste
  10. Let it cook for seconds
  11. Add sprouts and cook for 1-2 minutes, till all the water evaporates.
  12. Finally add coriander leaves
  13. For aaembeling take one bowl add misal, then chopped onion, sev on top curd.
  14. Garnish with little sev and coriander leaves and with lemon slice.
