ABOUT Punjabi spicy cholle RECIPE

Main course punjabi dish, yummy chole to be served with puri, bhature or paratha.

Ingredients Serving: 4

1 and half cup Kabul chana
Salt
Haldi
Red chilly powder as per your taste
Dhania powder 1 tsp
Cumin 1 tsp
Cumin powder
2 tea bags
Chills masala 3 tsp
2 big onions chopped
4 tomatoes chopped
Ginger GARLIC paste 1 tbsp
Green chillies

Instructions

Wash Chole in morning.put water in cooker about half cooker and put salt,haldi, chilly powder and 2 tea bags.cover & put lid.
Pressure on high for 2 whistles & then cook for 25 min
Take a wide wok.put ghee.
Add jeera. add onions & brown them.
Add ginger GARLIC paste & green chillies .saute
Add tomatoes & add salt, haldi chilly powder. Mix.
Saute till masala leaves oil. add cumin powder. add Chole along with water.
Mix. cook for 20 min stirring in between. add chilly masala & mix. cook for 3 min. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Switch off gas & before serving garnish with butter onions 7 green chillies
