ABOUT Stuffed bada RECIPE

Sweet coconut jaggery stuffed urad daal bada.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Urad daal 1 cup
  2. Sooji 2tsp
  3. Baking soda a pinch
  4. Shredded Coconut 1/2cup
  5. Jaggery 3tbsp
  6. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  7. Black pepper powder 1tsp
  8. salt as per taste
  9. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Soak urad daal for 1-2hours.
  2. Strain and grind to a paste.
  3. Transfer to a bowl, add salt, sooji, baking soda.
  4. Meanwhile prepare stuffing.
  5. Roast coconut in a tawa, add jaggery, cardamom powder, black pepper powder.
  6. Cook till jaggery melts and coated the coconuts well.
  7. Switch off. Cool a bit.
  8. Take a small portion of bada batter, flattern a little and stuff with the prepared coconut stuffing and seal to give it a shape like bada.
  9. Prepare all the badas like this.
  10. Deep fry these badas in medium heat oil till crisp and golden brown from all sides.
