Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. green gram one cup
  2. Grated coconut 1 cup
  3. 1 Cup Jaggery
  4. 1 cup maida
  5. Half cup Rice flour
  6. Cardamom powder
  7. Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  8. Salt 1/2 tsp
  9. Water

Instructions

  1. soak green gram for two hours
  2. add half cup water to it
  3. and pressure cook for two whistles
  4. make jaggery syrup
  5. using half cup water
  6. now mix
  7. cooked green gram, coconut, little by little jaggery syrup and make balls and keep it aside
  8. now for the batter
  9. now mix Maida and rice flour
  10. and water to make it
  11. Idli batter consistency
  12. add half teaspoon salt
  13. half teaspoon turmeric powder
  14. and mix everything together
  15. Now heat oil in a kadai and dip the balls in the batter prepared and fry it till the batter outside is cooked on medium flame
