Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1 large sweet ripe mango
  2. 150 grams sweetened khoya/mava
  3. 1.5 teaspoon ground cardamom powder
  4. 1 tablespoon ghee+ 1 teaspoon for greasing
  5. 100 grams Milk powder
  6. 100 grams of powdered mixed nuts
  7. 5-6 pistachios slivered fine

Instructions

  1. peel and purée the mango into a paste without any water
  2. melt 1 tablespoon ghee in a. heavy bottom pan and sauté the khoya until softened
  3. once done, add the mango purée and mix well
  4. continue to stir and cook on medium-Low heat as the mix thickens
  5. add the milk powder, cardamom and mixed nuts
  6. combine well and keep cooking until the mix starts coming together
  7. grease a plate using a teaspoon of ghee
  8. take off heat and transfer the mixture onto the greased plate
  9. spread well and sprinkle sliced pistachios
  10. let cool a bit before cutting in desired shape/barfis
  11. store refrigerated airtight and enjoy!(tastes best when cold)
