ABOUT Lab-en-shirin RECIPE

The mouth watering and chilled Middle Eastern dessert That is made during festive of ramadan.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Milk 1 liter
  2. Sugar3/4 cup
  3. Custurd powder 4 tbsp
  4. Fresh cream 200 gm
  5. Faluda sev 3/4 cup
  6. Jelly 2 packets
  7. Chopped nuts( pistachio and almond) 1/2 cup
  8. Apple 1
  9. Pear 1
  10. Pineapple 4 to 5 pieces
  11. Whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Heat milk till boil comes. Add sugar and stir continuously.
  2. Dissolve custurd powder in little Cold milk.
  3. Ad dissolved custard in milk, stirr continuesly till milk thickens.
  4. Ad faluda vermicelli ,cook 5 minutes with occasional stirring.
  5. Ad chopped nut and again cook for 5 more minutes.
  6. Let it cool and ad Fresh cream to it mix well and refrigerated till 4 hours to chill.
  7. According to package instructions cook jelly and set on a plate. Let it cool and refrigerate it for 3 hours. I have used pineapple and strawberry flavored.
  8. Peel apple and pear and cut into small pieces. Cut pineapple into small pieces.
  9. When custard chilled ad chopped fruits and mix well.
  10. In serving bowl put some cut jelly pieces,pour vermicelli custard over it, again some jelly pieces and decorate with whipped cream and chopped nuts.
  11. Serve chilled.
